A model that is exported as a single .glb, built in metres, standing on its origin and with clearly named parts and materials will do everything Zyvolab offers. This guide is for the 3D artists and brands who prepare those models.
What the platform does with your model:
- 3D view: a model with no options opens as a clean 360° view with measurements and AR.
- Configurator: add option groups (parts, materials, colours, variants, sizes, moving parts) and it becomes a configurator with prices and rules.
- AR: "View in your room" on iPhone (Quick Look, the AR file is made on the fly) and Android (WebXR); a QR code on desktop.
- Personalise: customers put names, logos, photos and QR codes on the product, shown in 3D and AR, with print files for the order.
- Share and embed: a share link, a QR code and an embed code for any website.
The short path from file to published product:
- Model, UV and texture the product in your 3D app, following this guide.
- Export one .glb file (section 2).
- In the Library, upload the .glb. Check the file stats it shows (size, triangles, materials, texture sizes).
- Open it in the Studio: set the lighting and camera, then add option groups, hotspots, animations or Personalise zones.
- Press Preview to try your draft, then Publish to make it live.
- In the Library, open Share and embed, choose the settings, press Save settings and copy the link or the embed code.
File formats and export
Upload .glb (binary glTF 2.0): the mesh, materials, textures and animations in one file. A .gltf with separate .bin and texture files is not taken by the Studio, and FBX, OBJ, USDZ, STEP or 3DM files must be converted to .glb first.
One product can use several .glb files: a sofa and an add-on footstool, or two models to swap between. Each file is placed, turned and scaled in the Studio. The server takes files up to 500 MB online (the admin can change this), but a product should load in seconds on a phone: see the budgets in "Performance budgets for phones".
